Trammell Eugene Vickery
Sept 6th, 1932 - Feb 9th, 2007
Anyone who has ever met my father will tell you that they are a better person for having known him. He was a brilliant trial lawyer, a dedicated scholar, and a loving father. Coming from humble beginnings, he attended Emory at Oxford and Graduated from Emory Law School in 1955. He married my Mother the same year and practiced law in the Atlanta area for 40 years. My oldest brother Trammell Jr. was born in 1956, my middle brother David in 1962, and I was born in 1971. He served the State of Georgia as a Bar Examiner and also served as an advisor to the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. My father had several great passions: His Family, The Law, The Love of Books, and the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He retired from practice in 1996 and bought a creekside home in the North Georgia Mountains, which he dubbed, ‘The Millhouse’. He was always happiest in his retirement sitting on his porch listening to the creek and reading a good book. His passing was swift and painless except to those he left behind.
Father, you will forever be missed.
